Merricks Guest House

In the rolling paddocks of the Mornington Peninsula, Merricks Guest House is a refuge from the outside world. Complete with native landscaping, the guest house feels like an extension of the surrounding natural environment.

A central living area is the heart of the thoughtful interior. The kitchen features dark bronze accents, marble bench tops and smoked oak timber joinery and floors. Expansive windows and glass doors let natural light brighten the living space, and a wood-burning fireplace on a custom-made steel hearth is the perfect spot to warm up in winter.

Outside, radial-sawn silvertop ash weatherboards are draped in ivy to create privacy. It’s easy to find a moment of calm in this considered two-bedroom studio.
